New Playground

Hey Everyone!  Where have you been Echo?  Oh let me tell you.  About a month ago I came up with an idea of how to fund a new playground for the kids.  Our old one wasn't awful.  The kids had fun on it, but it was time for an upgrade.  Before Nycki was born I had spray painted the swing set with Rustoleum spray paint.  Now, almost 5 years later it was rusting again.  It wasn't rusting so bad that it was falling apart, but it was starting to show it's age.  It had to be at least 20 years old we were guessing.  This is what it looked like.

Like I said not so bad.  I checked out ToysRUs and learned some things.  If you choose a playground from them online.  It'd be at least $200 to freight ship it to your house.  If you picked a playground from their wall (at the time we purchased ours) you can get free shipping.  If you drive a pick up truck you can probably take your playground home yourself.  We own a Rav4, and it would not have fit into it.  When I went up to the desk to order, they told me it could take three weeks to a month for them to deliver it.  Yikes!  Luckily for us the company called that night and said they'd be there Saturday.

Due to our schedules and that of our wonderful friends the best weekend to set up the playground was Easter weekend.  Two of Josh's coworkers came over to help us put it together.  One of them brought their daughter to play with our kids while they spent a good portion of the day putting it together.

After about 10 hours, the playground was put together.  The kids have had so much fun and will continue to do so for years to come!

We absolutely love our little playground!  What are you doing to make your day more fun?

Have fun!
