How to Sew A Pillowcase

Hey Everyone!  I'm here to show you how you can make an easy pillowcase.  They are so easy, anyone with basic sewing skills can make a pillowcase.  If you can sew a straight stitch, you can sew a pillowcase.

First you'll take a yard and a half of fabric, preferably cotton.  Unfold it from it's lengthwise state, and iron it flat.  Take the top edge, fold and press at half an inch.

Then fold that down two inches and press.  You are making the edge to the pillowcase where you put the pillow into.

Then sew at 1/4 inches in from the folded half inch.

Then I added another stitch 1/4 inch to the right of the first stitch.  This gives the stitches some decoration.

Then fold your fabric so that the matching sides are facing together.  Sew along the edge to create your pillowcase.

After that I sewed a zig zag stitch to prevent fraying along the edge.

And that was it!  What do you think?

It's super easy project that becomes a great useful gift!

Have fun!
